Nonino Grappa Monovitigno Merlot is a crystal-clear, 41% ABV Italian grappa known for its soft, elegant, and aromatic profile. Distilled from fresh Merlot grape pomace, it offers distinct notes of rose petals, cherry stones, and gentle herbaceousness (sage/hay), with a smooth, lingering finish. It is often described as complex yet delicate. It is crafted by the Nonino family in Friuli using artisanal, discontinuous steam distillation. Nose : Fragrant and fruity, featuring prominent scents of rose petals, fresh cherry, and notes of red berries, sometimes with hints of white pepper and almond. Taste : Soft, round, and moderately full-bodied. The taste is characterized by ripe pear, herbaceous notes (sage), and a slight, pleasant spiciness. Best served cold (approx. 12°C/54°F) in an icy, open tulip-shaped glass.
